April 2021 Update: this review only applies to the 29" length shirt. The new Pendleton Wool Board Shirts are only 27" in length and I do not like them as much, because they rise too high in the back when you sit or bend over. I have 3 of the board shirts in the 29" length (1 medium and 2 smalls) and I am I'm 5'8". I emailed Pendleton to ask when they will be getting the 29" length shirts back and they said they do not have plans to. So check the shirt lengths in the description after you select your size/ colors. If you are are my height or taller, or if you just have a longer torso - definitely get the 29" length board shirts before they sell out. This is my new favorite go-to camping shirt! I use it as a mid-layer. Since 100% wool can be scratchy, I just wear another softer fabric underneath it so that the scratchiness doesn't bother me. I love the longer length of this board shirt, so that when I bend over, it doesn't rise too high up in the back. These shirts do not need to be washed very often, which is one of the great benefits of 100% wool. I am 5'8'' 150 lbs and the medium fits my shoulders and hips with a little extra room, and plenty of room in the waist - so I use the medium when I want to wear thicker layers underneath. I also have 2 of these in a size small and they fit well too! For medium- tall ladies, I highly recommend the longer board shirt length if you plan on bending over at all (which I do all the time while camping/ setting up my tent, etc.). I've also slept in this shirt in a both a tent, and a hammock and I was comfortable sleeping in it too. It really holds in the warmth, and you will notice a huge temperature difference as soon as you remove this shirt (or unbutton it) when it is cold out. 5 stars.
