My kid loves to read it and finally have the actual book. We are big fansMy 3 yr old son love this book so much. Since we got it, he’s been sleeping with it, eating next to it, taking it with him while potty etc...He just loves this book, you can tell by how I tried my best to hold it up by lots of tape. Can’t wait to get more books from them. ❤️❤️I like the book for the children I work with in my classroom. I dislike the miss advertisement saying their is a CD Audio included and no CD audio came with it inside even have a slot for it so disappointingin that.. Can't have phones or any other devices in my room except for a CD player . I am rating this a 3 due to no Audio CDThe pre-school kids in daycare love this book.I would of gave it 5 stars but instead I gave it a 4 star just because I felt like it was a little short of a book.My son loves this book and CD. He loves the song so much that it’s been on repeat in the car for the past 4 months LOL.I have several of these Barefoot Books! My students love them. They are very affordable, especially since they come with a CD. Also, there are versions of ALL of these books free on YouTube. You can create a playlist and show it on a Smart Board, great for end of the day while dismissing students. If you don't have a Smart Board, (parents) you can view them on your phone or on iPad.My son loves this book along with others by the same author. The preschool he goes to has them and we had to get copies at home. He loves the sing songy rhyme scheme along with the animals and we listen to the CD's and sing along with the books constantly. I highly recommend!Great book!! I love all barefoot books and have been looking at these books for a while! I work in an SEN school so the rhymes and music to go along with these books are great! Even more great is that they come with a DVD with the barefoot books! The video story’s can also be found on YouTube! Love love love these books especially space song rocket ride and portside pirates! My thee year old daughter absolutely loves the Walking Through The Jungle book, and CD that goes with it which we regularly listen to in the car! The nursery she attends started off the obsession with this book as they read it and listen to the CD during circle time. She always sings along, at the top of her voice, and loves 'reading' the book, having memorised all the words to all the pages! I would definitely recommend this book and CD to anyone with a little one who loves animals, rhyming and catchy songs!Catchy tune and rythm; a bit jingly but plenty of variety in rythm section, with changes of key too. Plenty of simple repetition and large font size, which is exactly what I was looking for, for a three-and-a-half year old who is beginning to recognise words. Chance to make animal noises too. Theme is: Walking through the jungle/climbing up a mountain, etc, what do I see, what do I see? I think I see a lion/monkey,etc,and he's chasing after me. And finally: Running home for supper.... Lots of fun, potentially participative, and a happy ending.BUT... the song moves on much too fast, with no time to think/talk about the answers, and certainly not enough time to look at words. There's not even time for an adult to turn the pages between sections.Solution 1: Have a pause button ready, but that loses the momentum of the catchy rythms.Solution 2: Make a copy on a blank CD and use audio-editing software (or get a teenage family member involved!) to extract 6 to 8-second sections of appropriate parts of the separate music track on the original CD, and insert them in your new copy where needed. I did this reasonably successfully. It was easy to observe the key changes but not so easy to maintain the rythm for every page. Having gone that far, I added an introduction in Granny's voice too, for good measure. Have fun!It has a very catchy repetitive phrase. So kids anticipate what’s coming on each page. Also there is a little clue about what animal come next showing a bi of the tail etc.Even better if you know the tune and you both sing it.Bought this for a 1 year old child I work with and was told 'It was a big hit'. Children love music and being able to dance and do actions is a bonus.
