This is not my first Dinosaur Electronics UIB product, I've bought a couple Dinosaur Universal Ignitor Boards over the years. Sure you pay more, but they work without fail.I bought the UIB small with the plastic case for my Suburban SW10DE hot water heater. The startup had become intermittent lately, and sometimes with a loud pop. This is where the reviews come in handy, where I read others having had these symptoms, and a new board was the fix. Also in the reviews is the one star reviews for Chinese made boards.I was impressed with the one day delivery. I installed the board today, using the metal backboard with plastic cover (bought separately), attached to the inside of the cubby hole where the hot water heater is, on solid wood. From there I plugged in the igniter wire and the plug. Once the on button was switched on, the unit responded quickly, and ignited much quicker too. I noted the green LED indicating proper voltage.I did cut the resistor as noted for hot water or refrigerator use. Fire was instant and flawless.These cost more, but the reliability is top notch. A solid product made in the USA! Comes with a 3 year guarantee.
